traideGo or the manual product entry feature allows you to quickly classify individual products for customs purposes. The AI not only suggests a customs tariff number but also provides the reasoning and justification behind it.

The process is very simple. For each product you want to classify, you open a new chat and go through three steps. First, you provide the AI with relevant information. Then, the AI processes the input, and as the decision-maker, you select a customs tariff number. In step 3, you receive a summary.

The User Interface

Using the platform is intuitive:

  • Left side: All chats – each chat represents a product. Past classifications can be filtered, organized, and viewed here.

  • Right side: Start a new chat for a product that needs a customs tariff number.

The Classification Process Happens in Three Steps:

  1. Enter product description

  2. Select a suggested customs tariff number

  3. Review the classification summary

Every decision remains transparent for users so they can monitor the entire process.

Step 1: The Product Description

Manual Description

The description should be as detailed as possible. As with any AI, the more information it receives, the more precise and reliable the results will be.
Example: “T-shirt” is too vague – material, manufacturing method, and other details are crucial.

URL Input

Simply paste the link to the product page, and the AI will generate a description based on the information listed on the website. The description can be adjusted afterwards as needed. The link must be publicly accessible and the product should be clearly listed.

Uplaod PDFs

You can also uplaod a PDF and the Ai reads both text and the pictures.

Upload Screenshots

Add screenshots via drag & drop, copy-paste, or manual selection. If needed, you can upload multiple screenshots – just avoid overloading the AI to prevent confusion.
❗️The AI can only analyze screenshots for one product per chat, not multiple at once.

After uploading, the AI can generate a description that can then be edited.

Already have a tariff number you want to test? You can enter it in the text field below the description.

Post-Entry Edits

If important details are missing after moving on to Step 2, you have two options:

  • Add more details directly in the chat with the AI (Step 2)

  • Go back to Step 1 and revise the product description
❗️Note: This will overwrite the chat history from Step 2 and restart the process. For best results, this is the recommended approach.

Step 2: Select a Tariff Number

The chat transparently shows how a manual classification would work:

  • Understanding the product

  • Analyzing possible classifications

  • Suggesting customs tariff numbers

  • Explaining the reasoning

  • Requesting additional information if necessary

  • Providing a summary

Now you can either add more details or directly select a customs tariff number. There are several options:

  • Accept the suggested tariff number

  • Manually select one from the menu

  • Navigate through the customs tariff tree

Additional Support for Choosing the Correct Number

Use Symbols

Open the customs tariff tree for a visual overview, or follow the link to the original source to get more context for your decision.

Ask the AI

Ask a specific question and the AI will explain its reasoning:

“Why did you not choose tariff number XY?”
Alternatively, use predefined queries like “Increase certainty” to get targeted additional information.

Step 3: Summary

At the end, you’ll receive a clear summary that you can use immediately. It includes the customs tariff number, relevant context for next steps, and the option to download a PDF for documentation.
